Spotlight on 60 Gallon Sump Cleaners
It’s time to separate the fluid from the sludge. And you know the Sump Shark™ Sump Cleaner is just the tool to make your CNC sump cleaning faster, smarter and safer. Now what?
The next question most our customers ask is “which Sump Shark should I get?”
With the wide range of sump cleaners CECOR offers, it may seem overwhelming. We hear you! And we’re here to help. Deciding which sump cleaner to get depends on your shop’s needs and current set up.
To narrow down which Sump Shark is right for your application, let’s start by looking at two of our most popular workhorses—the 60 Gallon Air-Powered Sump Cleaner (SA5-60PL-D) and the 60 Gallon Electric-Powered Sump Cleaner (SE15-60PL-D).
So much more than a wet-dry vac
Let us be clear—our Sump Sharks are NOT wet-dry vacs. Though some may be small, they are mighty! CECOR sump cleaners produce two to four times the suction lift as standard wet-dry vacs, powering the removal of heavy sludge at lightning speeds. The CECOR Sump Shark line is designed to move sludge and fluid at 60 to 110 gallons per minute, depending on the hose ID. The suction lift is strong enough to remove thick sludge in concentrated areas, whereas a wet-dry vac’s motor would burn out in a similar situation.
The size and affordability of our 60 Gallon Air- and Electric-Powered Sump Cleaners make them perfect for most shops. Both do a stellar job cleaning the coolant sumps of machine tools and save hours of time over remedial methods. They filter sludge and chips effortlessly and easily transport fluid through your shop with a space-saving, vertical design—all without leaving you covered head to toe in sludge.
60 Gallon Air-Powered Sump Cleaner
CECOR was the first to pioneer air-operated systems for sump cleaning. They have been in our line since the 1950’s, and many are still operating 20+ years after purchase. Our 60 Gallon Air-Powered Sump Cleaner uses your existing plant air supply with its air venturi system, giving it the highest suction lift of any sump cleaner on the market!
Check out this video of the SA5-60PL-D’s drum-crushing power for an idea of the performance you can expect.
60 Gallon Electric-Powered Sump Cleaner
The 60 Gallon Electric-Powered Sump Cleaner is a high-nozzle velocity unit, which makes it great for puddle pickup and general cleanup around the machine tool. Along with high nozzle velocity, this powerhouse has the suction lift to remove sludge and fluid at the same speed as the air powered unit. This single-phase electric sump cleaner can plug and play in virtually any standard 110-volt receptacle.
